Broad Street: A Comfortable Place
The Broad Street Baking Company attracts a pretty eclectic crowd.
In one corner, you'll see one of Jackson's closet novelists swigging coffee and composing a best-seller on his laptop. In a nearby booth, you'll spy a couple of soccer moms comparing their schedules over a slice of Italian cream cake.
At one of the tables in the Banner Hall lobby, you'll see kids enjoying corn dogs and grilled cheese sandwiches while Mom and Dad help themselves to southwestern shrimp pasta. And just upstairs, in the shadow of Lemuria Books, you'll find college-age study buddies hitting the books while scarfing down honey smoked turkey sandwiches.
Regulars know that's one of the best things about Broad Street -- it's a comfortable place, with something for everyone. You can dress up … or dress down. You can wear a suit … or shorts. You can stick to soup and salad … or you can pamper yourself with a spicy sausage pizza pie.
Come as you are. Be who you are.
You'll fit right in.

I really enjoy my "me time" at Broad Street. At least one afternoon a week, I pick up a coffee, stake out a corner booth, and settle in to get some serious writing done.
Thanks for making Broad Street such a welcoming spot.
