Walnut Brownie

Duncan's BSB Review Chronicles #12 Whew, haven't we had so much fun reading all of these reviews guys. I know that the press just keeps wanting more and more of my reviews. "Duncan PLEASE, we NEED to know what you thi--- " STOP, you people just suck the life out of me. You people up in the big-shot news offices of NYC just need to know that I don't do it for my fans (220 followers on Insta btw) I do it for the enjoyment, so by God I am going to keep reviewing BSB until I complete my mission without selling out to the media. Anyways back to our regularly scheduled program. I thoroughly enjoyed this brownie. The base is the same as the Rocky Road brownie, but has the added crunch and saltiness of the walnuts on top. I'm giving it an 8.5+/10, would try again.

Poptart review by Duncanturner03

Duncan's BSB Review Chronicles #10 If I could only choose one store bought "pastry" to fulfill my hunger needs in an apocalypse, I think I'd choose the Pop-Tart. A multitude of flavors, plenty of availability, and unknown ingredients that would probably make them last forever as rations. However, with BSB's Pop-tart, you know exactly what you're getting. A freshly baked, real jam, real frosting. And trust me, as a blueberry Pop-tart fanatic, I could house these pastries almost as fast as I can the ones from Kellogs with the added benefit of them weighing less on my conscience, knowing that I am putting real ingredients in my body. Truly such a great ratio of jelly, frosting, and dough that is often not seen with the name-brand. If you can catch the Blueberry Pop-tart in the flavor rotation, I'd say you have to grab it. I'm giving it an 8.2+/10, still gotta catch the Strawberry one

Cookie - Blueberry & Cream review by Duncanturner03

Duncan's BSB Review Chronicles #7 I am unsure of how to describe the Blueberries & Cream cookie in a similar way to my other reviews. I think that it is just a basic - but good - cookie flavor. Maybe I will have to revisit it, but my first go-around with this cookie was a nice no-frills, but pleasant experience. Although I did enjoy it, I think that there is something that could be done to take it to the next level (although I'm unsure of what that may be, I'm not the professional lol). I believe that this cookie is a good 6.8+/10 (which does NOT mean it's bad just not my fav). **EDIT** My Associate (formerly featured on the Chocolate Torte review) has attended BSB with me and acquired a few desserts of his own, one of them being his own Blueberry & Cream Cookie. After reading my review regarding this cookie, he was inclined to try it for himself. After first impressions he said, "Woah, your review was spot-on". That review being that this cookie brought a nice no-frills flavor that was just done right. So don't just trust me people. trust my one other person that has ever been to BSB with me, we would never lie to you :)

Red Velvet Oreo Cookie review by Duncanturner03

Duncan's BSB Review Chronicles #5 I had always believed that the Red Velvet cake was just a typical vanilla-y cake with some red 40 mixed in (which is still taking some convincing) but I will say that this cookie hits. Due to past experience with Red Velvet, I counted this one out, but it surprised me this time around. It brought an elevated Red Velvet flavor followed by the deep chocolate flavor of the Oreos that provided a nice crunch that contrasted the nice, chewy cookie. I would give this a nice 7.5/10 just due to it not really being a flavor I normally go with, but for the Red Velvet lovers I'd say this is a definite must-try.

Tart - MS Mud review by Duncanturner03

Duncan's Review Chronicles #3: Alright, although I am unsure of how to properly start this review, I can say one thing about this pie, it's good. This pie provides a nice uniform taste, no big frills just straight cooool chocolate and whipped topping. This is a good 8/10 for me, who enjoys a nice cool dessert and as someone who especially loves chocolate.

Muffin - Blueberry review by Duncanturner03

Duncan's BSB Review Chronicles #11 I'm starting this review with a personal anecdote, its so dang hard to lose weight when I know that this establishment is so close to my place of employment. That being said...WERE BACK with a review of the Blueberry Muffin. What I like about this pastry is that you can still taste the blueberry flavor throughout the entire muffin without having an actual blueberry in your bite. The muffin has a nice moist texture with the right amount of density for your enjoyment. Similar to my review of the Blueberries & Cream cookie, this is a classic muffin done right with no big frills. Really enjoyed this muffin, 8+/10

Slice - Choc Torte review by Duncanturner03

Duncan's BSB Review Chronicles #8 I believe Were back this time with the Chocolate Torte. Personally, I am a milk chocolate ride or die, whereas this dessert brings forward a richer, deeper chocolate flavor. Due to this, not only did I try this slice, but I brought in an associate to give second tasting opinions. My associate (Dark Chocolate Lover) provided this tasting experiment with the quote "This is great". Even though I've stated I am not too fond of that dark chocolate taste, I still enjoyed this dessert. With both my associate and my experience with this dessert being positive, I have no other choice but to give this a good 8.5+/10

Cookie - Peanut Butter review by Duncanturner03

Duncan's BSB Review Chronicles #6 ~Peanut Butta Cookie Time, Peanut Butta Cookie Time~ (someone pls get this reference) While I am not a part of the big Peanut Butter cult that everyone has going on, I do appreciate it. This cookie brought the "Little Wee Bear" type of Peanut Butter flavor. Not too hot or cold, but just right. A good 7.8+/10 for me.

Bar - Brownie review by Duncanturner03

Duncan's BSB Review Chronicles #4 WE BACK - This time with this pastry that is a chocolate lover's (such as myself) dream. I will say, however, I believe this brownie is different than that of the base of the Rocky Road brownie though this is not a negative statement. This is a nice fudgy and very sweet brownie that I will definitely swing back to, 8/10.

Cookie - Chocolate Chip review by Duncanturner03

In my mission to try and review every item from Broad Street's bakery section, my first review began with the Rocky Road Brownie. However, my first true introduction to Broad Street came with the original Chocolate Chip cookie. The Chocolate Chip cookie from Broad Street is the standard of mastering the basics. I think that this cookie is a good 8.5+/10 every time I've had the pleasure of grabbing one. A classic cookie with a great taste which got me hooked on this restaurant. -Duncan Turner P.S. these reviews come from the soul, no kidding. I freakin' love this place
